Why I’m Writing Here
For a long time, I carried most of my thinking quietly.
That worked when my questions were simpler. But as they became more layered—historical, theological, and creative—it began to feel constraining. There was too much nuance for quick explanations, and too many threads to hold all at once.
I’ve always written privately—notes, journals, half-finished paragraphs scattered across seasons—but I never had a single place where those thoughts could live together, be revisited, and allowed to grow.
This Substack is that place.
It will be a space for engaging complex and sometimes challenging questions about truth—always in light of a relational God who has made himself known. Here, ideas are given time to mature, without rushing toward conclusions, and my thinking is allowed to take shape gradually and in the open.
This Substack is also intended to serve as a bridge—a shared space that allows for slower, more attentive engagement than many conversations permit. It offers room to explore the layered complexities of Scripture without the pressure of quick conclusions or simplified answers. For those who want to understand how I think, or how these convictions have taken shape, I can simply point them here and welcome them to engage the work in their own time.
If you value depth, nuance, and space to think, I hope this becomes a place you enjoy returning to. And if something here resonates, I’d be grateful if you subscribed—or shared it with someone who might find it meaningful.
Thanks for being here at the beginning.
